Working as a Research Associate for researches related to:
Ceramic membrane based potable water treatment; Membrane based human powered emergency potable water treatment; Two stage thermophilic anaerobic membrane bioreactor for energy recovery from high strength wastewater and water reuse applications; Membrane based wastewater reuse applications in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam; Decoupling of SRT and HRT of anaerobic digestion process of municipal solid waste; Preparation of lecture materials and presentation slides on water treatment, wastewater treatment and solid waste management.

Environment and Sustainable Development Program, United Nations University:
Conducting a research on adaptation strategies in response to climate change; Preparation of a training manual for flood inundation modeling and rainfall forecasting.

Researcher Fellow (Nov. 2006 – March 2007)
EIA Team Member for the Kaluganga Agriculture Development Project
Worked as a Research Fellow for:
Water, air, noise, and solid waste pollution evaluation due to the project; Anticipated flood inundation due to unexpected release of water from the reservoir. Hydraulic flood analysis and inundation mapping were done using HEC-GeoRAS Software. The project envisages construction of a dam for the purpose of creating a reservoir and to supply water for downstream irrigation. Based on the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) undertaken biological, physical and social environmental impacts and mitigation actions were studied. (Team leader- Prof. C.M. Madduma Bandara, Client- Mahaweli Authority, Sri Lanka)
